When restoring these worn incisal edges try to take a few years off the tooth and recreate as much thickness to the edge as you can. These restorations are under tons of abuse so we know they'll wear out, but with some thickness they last a lot longer.

Conclusion:
It's really simple to add some thickness as long as the adjacent teeth stay in contact in protrusive. Hopefully this will last her longer than the first one, or as long as she needs it.
