Hi John,
Been using your products for a long time now.
Had a question regarding sealing crown preparations. Do you seal all of your crown preps (vital and nonvital)? And if so for what purpose? I thought I had heard you say that it was to prevent leakage. Is that correct?
What technique do you use?
Thanks

I seal all my crown preps with Simplicity and it sure makes them much less sensitive when you remove the temp and seat the final crown. Most of the time I don't numb the patient at that appointment.
I do seal the non-vital teeth, although that is not necessary for sensitivity.
My understanding is this step seals the dentinal tubules and that's what prevents sensitivity.
Technique is the same for bonding, Sim 1 for 10 secs, three brushfulls of Sim. 2, air dry 5 secs, two brushfulls of Sim 2 air thin and cure

I seal teeth to eliminate permeability and reduce if not eliminate sensitivity.

I use Surpass but Simplicity will also work.
