Just want something more yellow - Think anterior CEREC, no glazing oven, but don't want to bond it with flowable just for the A3, Anchor A2 would make it look flat. This just happened on Thursday. I did Endo, post and CEREC #7 on a guy who was going to rehab on Friday. A3 Anchor would have been sweet. This guy's anteriors are in the A3 range. Just asking . . . Very Happy

The tooth looked flat aftwerwards, but I wanted strength more than shade. The patient understood and agreed.

But it was because I bonded in the post with Anchor. The tooth had a huge carious lesion from the buccal (round, 5x5 mm), which is why it needed endo. By the time I was done with the post, that little lateral stump was not very big.

But this guy's entire upper anteriors are A3 shade. I suppose I could have used A3 Dentin 4 Seasons or Esthet-X, but I wanted to infuse the tooth with the crime-fighting powers of Anchor! Laughing

I'm still not sure what the problem is. A2 drops in value as it sets. You should have no problem using the A2. Shades of the luting material have little effect on final restoration hue.

They can, however, have a profound effect on value.

I was actually hoping you'd come out with an A1 shade. That would be great for veneers.

I just used the white shade of Anchor for Veneers today and it was perfect.
If I need it less white, I mix a little A2 into it.
A3??? Yeccch!!!

I used the A2 shade a couple of times and they looked great. It may have lowered the value a touch but certainly not much. I just think A1 would be more ideal.
I didn't even think of using the white anchor, interesting.

I usually use about 1/3 white 2/3 A2, and occasionally 1/2 and 1/2.

Squirt onto a mixing pad and spatulate.

I often need/use a transparent shade in Variolink. Any thing like that in the Anchor pipeline? Also what about tryin paste?

We had one. Transparent isn't radiopaque and simply cannot be.
