being from the great white north, I am not able to readily get the surpass yet, but I am going to get some to try, I have been reading all the info, but I am slightly confused wrt indirect restorations.

I will try and ask so just a yes / no answer will do

both sim 2 and sur 3 are placed inside the restoration dried and cured

when bonding in a indirect restoration with a self or dural cured cement, sim 2 on the tooth is cured and and additonal layer of sim 2 is placed and not cured

do you have to place an additonal layer of sur 3 over the cured layer as well?

No Just Surpass 3

I only use Surpass, not mixing Simplicity and Surpass together. I have already used Surpass 1, 2, 3 . When I seat, I put a layer of surpass 3 on tooth, heavy thinning with air and cure. Then place the restoration with anchor.

do you have to place an additonal layer of sur 3 over the cured layer as well?

Pick one bonding agent, don't mix protocols. Sorry, answers were too difficult to be yes or no! Cool

I meant them to be comparison questions, of course I would not mix the two systems, we don't drink that much beer up here eh!

so I meant that right now I am using sim, and I wanted to know if the sur is used in a similar fashion, like right now on the tooth I place sim 1 then 2 then cure, then uncured layer, then anchor and seat

when using sur, do you need to place an additonal uncured layer after you have placed sur 1 two and 3 and cured similar to how we do it with the sim? or is the uncured layer not needed with the sur

No uncured layer necessary

No, just thin it out, light-activate it and go. that's it.
