You might not like this and I am sorry about that, but at this time I strongly recommend that you light-activate Titan for at least 20 seconds on class V's and in class II's if your prep is below the DEJ, separate and apart from the bonding system.
Strongly. _________________ "You need me on that wall."

Note: that would apply to ANY flowable, except that I might be telling you 40 seconds for another material. _________________ "You need me on that wall."

Been doing 20 sec since you mentioned it long ago, before Titan.
Does the the 20 sec also apply to additional layers or just the 1st layer? |

Does light activation of 20 seconds still apply with the newer more powerful curing lights? My Fusion curing light is very powerful and boasts that it can do all composites in 5 seconds. I do a couple 5 second increments but the tip of the light gets very warm and I would be concerned about heat to the tooth. If 20 seconds is still a must then an air stream on the tooth would be necessary I think with these powerful lights? |

No. Ten seconds probably does it. _________________ "You need me on that wall."

Are you saying 20 sec all at once? Is it amount of cure or rapidity of cure? Or both? |

Since the original post and subsequent research I am light-activating the flowable and adhesive for ten seconds only. I have modified the paste resin activation protocols considerably. _________________ "You need me on that wall."

protocolS, is this the only change, 10 sec instead of 20 sec of the flowable and adhesive.
No changes to the pulse cured enamel layer, increments prior to the enamel layer, etc?
Thanks |
