I've had a few Class II preps where I place a thin layer of Titan A2, cure, and then incrementally build up layers with Z250 shade A2; upon removal of the matrix, especially when the box extends to the buccal, and one tooth that didn't have a mesial neighbor, I was seeing a significant grey shade where the Titan was placed below the Z250. I assume it's the translucency issue?

I don't see a predictable way to avoid getting the Titan at the enamel interface of the boxes of Class II preps, so would appreciate any tips here. Not a major issue, but if my preps extend to the buccal or are in view, it is something that I will have to address in those rare instances.

I agree-love Titan but as it is not a surface aesthetic material, i would really like to see the opacity increased...Still love it though.
