I was at a lecture last week and the speaker recommended waiting 20 seconds before seating the stent or impression with the mixed temporary resin. He said it would cut down on margin shrinkage. Well I can report that this really does make a noticable difference. Try it and tell me if this is not my imagination. |

There's no reason that it would cut down on shrinkage overall, but I think what he meant was that much of the shrinkage takes place in that 20 seconds and less occurs on the tooth.
