Just started using surpass...my assistant is bonding some invisalign attachments later today....what is the protocol for bonding to enamel.

1. Clean enamel w Alcohol/Clean-boost
2. Surpass 1
3. Air dry??
4. Surpass 3
5. Cure

Any clarification would be appreciated.

Thanks

Graham

Clean enamel with alcohol, rinse w water, dry.
( Clean&boost no need)
Sur1 agitated ( brushing) 15-20 sec on aprismatic enamel/
No dry, No rinse and dry, only Wet bonding.
Sur2 must be applied ( you can take 2 light touch with brush on enamel,
but on dentin 3 fullbrushes, light touch)
Dry thoroughly.
Sur3
Cure

Sur2 isn't primer, it's filler for interface ( tricky John,
I think, that Jonn is inventor of ultraetch too, isn't it, John? Embarassed )

The protocol for enamel is the same as for dentin but there is something you could do differently. If you are REALLY are enamel only, you could apply the Surpass 1, rinse and dry and apply Surpass 3, thin and dry. It's more complicated than simply using Surpass as indicated but it can be done.

Thanks, Graham.

Surpass 2 is a primer.

Ultraetch is a product of Ultradent

OK, John, but dentin was previously primed with Sur1, superficially.
Sur2 isn't competes with COOH- comprising monomer of sur1 on dentin surface, Sur2 builts HEMA leyers in anhydrous solution.
Atop the first layer.
And, I thought, that "filler of interface" is a more appropriate title.
I'm wrong?

John, what do you think about Ultraetch? This is your handwriting!
