Does anyone have a 5 yr or so recall of a Cerec restoration that had been glazed and stained?

Are you saying the stain and glaze is gone?

Does the stain and glaze survive the mouth and if so, for how long?

I am wondering about this because I did many Dicor crowns and Empress crowns, and over time the glaze does wear off the crowns, making them look translucent in those spots.

Generally I found them to hold up very well in most mouths.

Someone with severe reflux would probably wear more.

That would have to be quite the reflux to erode ceramic glaze.

I think there would be no teeth before the glaze would vanish..... Razz

That's HCl, not HF erupting up from the tummy.

john,
like eric im not at my older practice anymore - where i could get a few pictures. regardless, from what i have seen and can remember the only areas where i have ever found the stain or glaze to be less than adequate were areas that i polished off to get proper occlusion. or i have seen some areas of heavier occlusion wear a little. let me get back to you in 2 years to get that first 5 year recall in my existing practice!!!!
later,
d
