The latest Comepndium had a nice articel about the treatment of dental ceramics prior to sating and dealt mainly with HF acid- although No mention of Interface by name.
Can interface be left on cermaic too long (or how about too short)? I follow the Apex instructions and let it sit for 10-20 seconds before thinning and applying sim2.
I also noted that ivoclar's emax material is only recommended to have a 20 second HF etch-- vs 60 seconds for other ceramics.....why is that? Any correlation to how we use interface with emax?
What does interface do to the porcelain anyway? (hopefully that's not a dumb question)-- All I know is that it bonds/works like gangbusters---
Thanks in advance.
