Has the powder being used for imaging changed at all?

Is it the same as the powder that Flem tried to destroy me with or has it been altered since then?

Yeah- all I need is a container.

And a new set of clothes.

I was wondering because there seems to be a lot confusion about removing it and a couple of people have had de-bonds and I'd like to end that.

What's the average amount of time the powder remains on the tooth?

I scrub it off with etoh and water right after I get my images. It takes a lot of effort to get most of them clean. ZERO debonds. Very little to no sensitivity.

My assistant cleans it off right away after pictures. Then I clean ANY residual powder with the lft over Interface that I applied to the restoration. Then, Surpass 2 & 3. I have already sealed with Surpass before the powdering. Cool

I do the same flem- using interface again on the prep with either sim 2 or surpass 2 and 3. I light cure the surpass, but do not always light cure the sim 2 layer-- depends if I am going for a light or dual cure

I am doing another round of study on all this and what Flem suggested.

I used acetone yesterday and the powder came off the tooth very easily, but I used a fairly large cotton pellet to wash the powder off and it was soaked with acetone.

But it left a sparkling clean surface!

Cool

No problems using acetone on tooth like that? And yo have to dispense right before cleaning, right? Thanks. Cool

Well, if it's dispensed and left standing for five minutes, there won't be much to use.

Once the resin is polymerized the acetone cannot do anything to the tooth.
