I have a patient with a large posterior DOL resin restoration. It is not hot, cold, or pressure sensitive. However, the patient complains of discomfort when she bites on the skin of an apple.

The margins are not discolored nor ditched visually. What could be causing this discomfort?

Apple skins are the only consistent complaint. Rarely a stick of gum.
